Fire Cider

    Ingredients:

  1. ½ cup ginger - chopped
  2. 1 tablespoon turmeric root - chopped
  3. ½ cup horseradish root - grated
  4. 1 onion - grated
  5. 10 garlic cloves - chopped
  6. 2 jalapeno peppers - chopped
  7. Zest and juice of 1 lemon and orange
  8. 1 sprig rosemary
  9. ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

    Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a quart jar and pour in 2 cups Liber vinegar.
  2. Let sit for 1 month in cool dark place. Shake daily.
  3. When ready to use, strain liquid into a bowl. Discard solids.
  4. Whisk in ¼ cup raw honey.
  5. Store in refrigerator for up to a year.
  6. Enjoy a shot of Fire Cider to ward off a cold or flu, relieve sinus congestion, or warm up on a cold winter day.
