Ultimate Spicy Tuna Melt


  1. 1 can of tuna in water
  2. Real, fermented sourdough bread, preferably freshly baked
  3. 1 TBSP Mayo
  4. 1 TBSP Bubbies Dill Pickle juice
  5. S & P to taste
  6. Butter or Earth Balance
  7. 1 small heirloom tomato
  8. 1 jalapeno
  9. 1 large Bubbies Dill Pickle
  10. 1 thicks slice of sharp cheddar


  1. Slice the pickles, tomatoes, and jalapenos paper thin
  2. Spread a small amount of Earth Balance on each side of the bread and start lightly toasting it in a pan.
  3. Mix your tuna together with mayo, pickle juice and salt and pepper
  4. Lightly toast the bread in a pan
  5. Once the bread it ready to go, place your tuna on one slice, topped with a slice of sharp cheddar
  6. Place the second slice on top and let the magic happen
  7. Depending on your stove, medium is a good heat to make sure the bread doesn’t over toast and burn
  8. When your cheese has melted and your bread has a nice crunch to it, take it off the pan and pull the sandwich apart
  9. Place all your fixings inside, slice and enjoy!
